Fujitsu buys Telstra’s IT unit

Japan’s Fujitsu is paying AUD200m (USD126m) to acquire Kaz, the IT unit of Australian communications and media company, Telstra. The deal, which is subject to regulatory approvals, will make Fujitsu the third largest IT firm in Australia.

Telstra paid AUD333m (USD210m) to acquire Kaz in 2004.
