Darby invests in Korean wind energy

US-based private equity firm Darby Overseas Investments has paid an undisclosed sum to acquire a 32.4% stake in Gangwon Wind Power. The company owns and operates the country’s largest wind farm. The investment was made through Darby’s Korea Emerging Infrastructure Fund, which is jointly manages with Korean financial firm Hana Bank.
