Balderton Capital has raised USD480m that it plans to invest in tech and media companies. The venture capital group - which was once the London arm of Benchmark Capital before spinning off in 2007 from its parent – has become one of Europe’s top investors. The group believes that the crisis makes it ?a very interesting time for new investments, if not for exits?. Balderton Capital enjoyed successful exits last year, such as Bebo which was sold to AOL for USD850m and open source software company MySQL acquired by Sun Microsystems for USD1bn.
