The Women on the Net, publisher of female news portal wowOwow, has raised USD1.5m in funding from Pilot Group and Rhime Group.
Launched in March, wowOwow is a news portal targeted at women over the age of 40. It features columns from, among others, television journalist Lesley Stahl and Peggy Noonan, formerly a speechwriter for Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H W Bush.
