Microsoft's MSN is expanding its coverage of personal finance in partnership with UK asset management firm, Hargreaves Lansdown. The one-year agreement will see Hargraves provide MSN Money readers with analysis on topics including funds, pensions, share trading and currencies.

"In this time of economic uncertainty, consumers are more confused than ever about which financial products are best for them, so it's important for us to ensure they can turn to trustworthy experts," says Jacqueline O'Sullivan, UK category marketing manager at Microsoft Advertising. US visits to financial and data websites jumped 30% in September, compared to same month last year, as investors and consumers seek advice on how to deal with the financial crisis, says comScore. The number of daily unique visitors to financial sites, which did not exceed 20m in August, peaked at 30m on September 29, the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 774 points.
