Siimpel, the low-power mobile and digital camera manufacturer, has raised USD8.7m in funding from Qualcomm, Zone Venture Fund and Draper Fisher Jurvetson Fund.
The California-based company was founded in 2000 as SiWave, and announced earlier this month that it has developed new micro-electro-mechanical-systems (MEMS) technology.
