Blink Author: How to Make Better Business Decisions

Blink and The Tipping Point author Malcolm Gladwell tells security professionals that too much information can impair judgment. He spoke as the RSA 2008 conference in San Francisco. As an example, he said emergency room doctors are much better at diagnosing chest pain accurately when they have only four data points (pain instability, fluid in the lungs, blood pressure, and an electrocardiogram) than when they take into account factors such as age and whether the patient smokes.
