    Mergers and acquisitions definitely are one of the most challenging scenarios in the area of corporate culture. A cultural assessment and integration plan should take into account, at a minimum, behaviors (decision-making and hierarchies and the definition of work; communication styles, degree of openness, language; beliefs such as vision and goals, and standards of ethical and acceptable behavior;
    business structure, and business performance measures.

    I think some very valid points were brought out in this interview with Mr. Matt Ferguson.

    a. It's important to enculturate new individuals
    b. It's important to realize that a Company is never
    going to be perfect in hiring people of the Exact same
    culture.
    c. No communication between departments is better
    than Bad communication. (That's an interesting
    concept.)
    d. Differences of style can be tolerated, but not
    differences of culture.

    Very informative interview. I learned some things!
