The League’s True MVPs: Top 10 Stadiums by Revenue | BNET

Dolphin Stadium

Dolphin Stadium

The team: Miami Dolphins
Year opened: 1987
Stadium revenue: $232 million*
Average ticket price: $66*
Luxury suites: 193
Club seats: 10,209
Stadium capacity: 75,540*

Dolphin Stadium became the league’s first to include a luxuriously appointed “club level,” a section where fans pay $1,000 to lease a seat for 10 years — in addition to buying annual season tickets for that seat. The seat licenses raised millions to offset construction costs, setting an NFL trend for club seating in new stadiums.

The real problem are the "redneck" drunks who occupy the seats. Filthy language, smell of alcohol and uncouth rabble.

You gotta know jerryWorld will be big, beautiful and out-of-reach for the common man whom JJ and the rest of his owner's ilk would rather have to sit home and pay a subscription fee to watch all games on the NFL Network. The City of Arlington was sold a bill of goods, the Cowboys syncophant voters of Big A bought it hook, line and stinker.

The city's infrastructure can't support the stadium and all its grand plans as is...too few cops, no public transit system that can get you to the stadium, so you'll have to pay to park.

Yep, another private company gets the public to fund their playland and laugh all the way to the bank.

No wonder most cities are pursuing sport venues and ballot measures. These are money makers!!

Interesting data. I never though Dallas singles would be paying that high average price for sports tickets.
