Photos: IBM lifts lid on Web 2.0 tech | BNET
Developers at Hursley have create an internal IBM virtual world called Metaverse. The development team licensed code from the makers of a game called Torque to use as the basis for Metaverse. The idea is for IBM workers to use the virtual world to communicate with each other and share ideas. People can hold virtual meetings, and areas are dedicated to individual departments and projects.
